About Dr. Merriouns

Harvey S. Merriouns, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with training in pain management, clinical neuropsychology, biofeedback, stress management, forensic psychology, psychodiagnostic assesssment, chemical dependency cognitive-behvaioral and psychodynamic psychotherapy.  Dr. Merriouns was Department Manager and Director of the outpatient and inpatient pain management program at Los Medanos Hospital. He has over 25 years in the field of pain management.

 

His other experience includes Manager of the Employee Assistance Program at the University of California-Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Director of Educational and Training at Pacific Psychotherapy Associates and Adjunct Instructor/Professor at the California School of Professional Psychology.   He has been a consultant at community housing programs, board and care facilities and an outpatient medical clinic and chemical dependency program. 

 

He obtained his B.S. from the University of San Francisco, a MSW from the University of California, and Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant University.  He is a member of the Allied Health Professional Staff at California Pacific Medical Center, a member of the American Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology and the National Registry of Health  Service Providers. Dr. Merriouns has been in private practice for over 30 years.
